The most popular trek in Cerro Castillo is the path that leads to the lagoon at the foot of the hill at 1400 meters high, it is a lagoon of green / turquoise waters with spectacular views of the Ibáñez Valley and the Cerro Castillo National Park. The hike includes strong climbs, of medium to high difficulty since you have to walk through sectors above the treeline with loose rocks. During the excursion you can see condors. Upon reaching the lagoon, one finds oneself in front of the south face of Cerro Castillo from where a majestic glacier emerges. The excursion includes guide, poles, entrance to the park and a box lunch. The trail is 16 km round trip, and can be done in the day perfectly (7 hours)
