Queulat National Park was created in October 1983 and has an area of 154.093 hectares, the austral road crosses the park 5 times in different areas. The weather, which is temperate and rainy, with total rainfall between 3.000 and 3.500 mm per year, is totally unpredictable and very variable, giving to the general atmosphere a touch of mysteriousness with different lights during the day. The main attraction is the Temperate Coastal Rainforest which can only been found in 5 other areas in the world, a very dense and diverse forest. The richness of Queulat is fascinating, from its lichens, moss, ferns, and shrubs to the thousand years old trees of incredible diversity. In Queulat National Park there are also glaciers, beautiful waterfalls, hot springs, marine fjords, many rivers and much more streams. It is impossible to remain indifferent with the trees, birds and marine wild life.
